Anshu Jamsenpa among top 50 most influential Indian women

‘Positive yields positive’

When asked to comment on this unparalleled position to which she has risen, the woman who always reflects ‘never say die’ spirit, told this daily that there no short cut to success, which demands  hard work and perseverance. But present younger generations have been lacking these qualities, she regretted.

In her message to the GenNext, she exhorted them to always try to focus their energies with positive attitude to yield positive results. None should forget that they belong to the society which has given them whatever they are today. It is but natural for everyone to give back something to the society or else the life will have no meaning, she said without mincing any worlds.

NEW DELHI, Nov 01: India Today group of publication has selected world record holder mountaineer Dr. Anshu Jamsenpa of Arunachal Pradesh as one of the top 50 most influential women in India.

The jury further selected her from amongst the top 50 and featured her on the cover page in its latest issue.

Harshita Das from India Today Woman Magazine stated that Anshu is an Indian woman mountaineer who does not take ‘no’ for an answer, is go-getter and always up for challenges.

India Today senior editor Shelly Anand joined Harshita to say that 5 time Everest summiteer Anshu who holds the world record of climbing Mt Everest twice in 5 days is a big inspiration for all. She is showing others the way forward with youths and women from different corners of the world being motivated from her achievement.

Anshu has also been featured in the latest issue of International life style magazine – COSMOPOLITAN.

When asked how she felt being featured in these prestigious publications, Anshu smiled and said that it’s both a privilege and recognition of my hard work in the field of mountaineering and adventure sports.

VOGUE and ‘Adventure & Beyond’ are other two international magazines who had featured Anshu in their earlier editions.

Recently, she was conferred ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award’ by the President of India which is the highest national recognition for outstanding achievements in the field of adventure on land, sea and air.

It may be mentioned here that she had addressed the prestigious “First Ladies” event in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi on January 20 last.
